Mesa and the East Valley

Appliance removal, heavy lifting included.

Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves and dishwashers are heavy, awkward and often not allowed in a regular bulk pickup. We do the lifting, load them and haul them off.

What we haul away.

If it is on this list, or anything like it, point at it and it is gone. See everything we haul and what junk removal costs.

  • Refrigerators and freezers
  • Washers and dryers
  • Stoves, ranges and ovens
  • Dishwashers
  • Microwaves
  • Water softeners
  • Old garage fridges
  • Small kitchen appliances

Empty and unplug a fridge or freezer ahead of time. If an appliance is still connected to water or gas, mention it when you call.

Three steps to a clear space.

  1. Tell us what has to go

Call, text or send the form. A sentence or a photo is enough: "a couch, a fridge and the pile by the side gate."

  2. Get your quote

We talk through the job and you get a quote before anything is loaded.

  3. We load it and haul it

We do the lifting and the loading, then haul it all away.

Could the city take it instead?

Appliances are where city routes get complicated. Mesa keeps them out of its bulk pickup and runs a separate program, and the fees add up per item:

  • The City of Mesa's Appliance Recycling program collects appliances at the curb, scheduled in advance, at $19.00 per appliance for Mesa trash and recycling customers plus an $11.00 Freon removal fee for an appliance with refrigerant (checked October 13, 2026).
  • The Town of Gilbert schedules up to two appliances per pickup for a $16 trip fee during your bulk trash pickup week, or $85 for a request made outside that week (checked October 13, 2026).
  • Chandler charges $15 for each coolant-bearing appliance, such as a refrigerator or freezer (checked October 13, 2026).

Get ready in five minutes.

  1. Empty and unplug fridges and freezers a day ahead.
  2. Prop the doors open so they dry out.
  3. Tell us if water or gas lines are still connected.
  4. Clear a path to the door or the garage.

From a customer

I used Jaime and his crew for the final clean up after an estate sale at my mother's home in Ahwatukee. They removed a hot tub as well as all remaining items in the home. The place was left cleaner than it had been before the sale. They thought of everything and had all the equipment needed on site. The estate agent said it was the best clean up job she had ever seen!

Will the city bulk pickup take my old fridge?

Not in Mesa: its bulk item pickup lists appliances among the items it does not take, and appliances go through its separate Appliance Recycling program instead, with a per appliance fee plus a Freon fee. Gilbert and Chandler charge their own appliance fees too. The figures are on this page with links to each city.

Do I need to unplug and empty it first?

Yes, please. Empty and unplug a fridge or freezer a day ahead and leave the doors open. If a washer, dishwasher or stove is still hooked up to water or gas, tell us when you call.

How much does appliance removal cost?

It depends on how much there is and how hard it is to reach. Tell us what you have, or text a photo, and you get a quote first. Our cost guide explains what moves the price and what the cities charge for their own pickups.

Point at it. We’ll haul it.
