Could the city take it instead?
City programs cap what they will take in one pickup, and you do the carrying:
- The City of Mesa's bulk item pickup collects up to 4 loads of about 4 by 8 by 4 feet per scheduled pickup, starting at $31.00 per load for Mesa Solid Waste customers (checked October 13, 2026).
- Chandler residents with city solid waste service get their first four bulks or trash disposal visits each calendar year at no charge, a disposal visit only for loads under 400 pounds, then $43 per bulk (checked October 13, 2026).
- The Town of Gilbert collects a bulk pile larger than 10 by 5 by 5 feet, and no larger than 20 by 5 by 5 feet, as a special pickup for a $100 fee (checked October 13, 2026).

Can you clear a whole house or yard at once?

Do you take down swing sets and play sets?
Yes. The photos on this page are one of ours: the frame taken down and hauled away, with nothing left but the footprint.
