Junk removal in Mesa. Loaded, hauled, gone.
The City of Mesa's bulk pickup is a paid, scheduled curbside service, and the city sends refrigerators, stoves and washers through a separate Appliance Recycling program, so a pile with a couch, an old fridge and yard trimmings can mean more than one appointment. The Good Life Junk Removal is based in Mesa and does junk removal for homes here: we load and haul furniture, appliances, yard waste and whole-house clean-outs. Send your address by call or text to (602) 486-2331 and we will confirm whether your street is one we reach.

Clearing out a Mesa home: what to know.
What tends to matter when the junk is in Mesa, from the city’s own rules and the way its neighborhoods are built.
Irrigated yards near downtown
The City of Mesa says it delivers irrigation water to approximately 300 customers between Mesa Drive and Country Club and between 8th Street and 8th Avenue, and SRP notes that flood irrigation is a good way to grow large canopy trees. Big shade trees mean big branch piles, and the City of Mesa's bulk pickup wants branches cut and tied in bundles no longer than 48 inches and no heavier than 60 pounds.
Decades of belongings in historic districts
The City of Mesa dates the period of significance for the Glenwood/Wilbur district from 1883 to 1948, for Evergreen from 1910 to 1948 and for Fraser Fields from 1946 to 1962. A house in one of these districts may hold belongings from several owners or generations, so an estate or downsizing clean-out there can be a room-by-room job rather than a single curb pile.
Who runs trash in an HOA
The City of Mesa's bulk pickup page says residents in HOA or multi-unit communities may need to contact their property manager for trash and recycling services. The City of Mesa describes Dobson Ranch, its first master-planned community, as governed by a homeowners' association that enforced rules on the appearance of individual houses, so in a community like that the first call before a clean-out goes to whoever manages your trash service.
Mixed loads risk the whole pile
The City of Mesa excludes construction and remodeling materials from bulk pickup, naming cabinets, countertops, bathroom vanities, tile, doors, sinks and bathtubs, and says a single or bundled item over 60 pounds may be ineligible. The City of Mesa also reserves the right to leave an entire load behind and assess a $31.00 trip charge if unacceptable items are mixed in, so a kitchen or bath tear-out should never ride along with the furniture pile.

From a customer
I used Jaime and his crew for the final clean up after an estate sale at my mother's home in Ahwatukee. They removed a hot tub as well as all remaining items in the home. The place was left cleaner than it had been before the sale. They thought of everything and had all the equipment needed on site. The estate agent said it was the best clean up job she had ever seen!

Does Mesa's city bulk pickup cost extra?
Yes. The City of Mesa says bulk item pickup is available to current Mesa Solid Waste customers for an additional charge, starting at $31.00 per load of about 4 by 8 by 4 feet, and it has to be scheduled in advance. If you would rather not measure loads or sort out what the city will take, call or text (602) 486-2331 with your address and a few photos of what has to go.
Will Mesa's bulk pickup take an old refrigerator?
Not with the bulk pile. The City of Mesa excludes appliances from bulk pickup and collects them through its Appliance Recycling program, which it prices at $19.00 per appliance for Mesa trash and recycling customers plus an $11.00 Freon removal fee for an appliance with refrigerant. We load and haul appliances along with furniture and other household junk; call or text to confirm your address.
I live in an HOA community in Mesa. Who handles my trash?
Start with your HOA or property manager. The City of Mesa notes that residents in HOA or multi-unit communities may need to contact their property manager for trash and recycling services. Call or text (602) 486-2331 with your address to confirm we cover your community.
